RED ROBIN FROZEN ONION RINGS

20 Feb

UntitledSo after trying the Steak Fries, I was seriously doubting the onion rings.

That being said I have to reveal that these are the absolute BEST store-bought onion rings I have ever had.

They have a thick and crunchy batter to them.  Well they did after I slightly over-cooked them in the oven.  I likes ‘dem xtra crispy, ya’ll!

And you read that right-  these were super-crispy-crunchy from the oven.  Usually baking something like this ends up as a pile of part mushy and part crispy rings.

No no…friends these are serious.  Seriously good.   I mean I love me some french fries…but deep down I am an onion ring person at heart.  I don’t often order them in restaurants or make them at home because they just suck.

But these are game-changers.   They give me the option of having kick-ass restaurant style rings at home 24/7/365.

I agree. I love Red Robin Onion Rings, so when I saw these in the frozen food section at Walmart for $2.74/bag, I had to try it. Boy am I glad I did. They are absolutely delicious and crispy and the batter very tasty. That was a few weeks ago. Guess I am going through withdrawl, because I was back at Walmart to get me another bag! Do try, you will not be disappointed.

I got these on sale last week and finally got around to trying them. I made them in an air fryer and they are pretty awesome! They come out nice and crispy after cooking for maybe 7 or 8 minutes. I think they were as crispy as they would be if they were deep fried but of course they weren’t as greasy since there was no oil involved. I liked that the onions were nice and thick since many frozen onion rings are lacking in the onion department. Will definitely be getting these again.
