Bacon Cotton Candy

29 Jan

Here in Texas, folks love them some NASCAR.  They also love Cotton Candy.   They love BACON probably more than the first two.  Okay let’s get real – not “probably” – they DO love bacon more than anything.

This is why I think it’s GENIUS that the folks at Texas Motor Speedway have figured out a way to mix all three together.

I understand it might sound yucky, but friends, I have tried it and it was actually pretty damn good.    Whenever I eat pancakes and bacon some of the maple syrup manages to get on my bacon.  So the taste of “sweet” on my bacon is nothing new.

I talked and sampled with several people and nobody was even close to hating it.   They all found it odd, but they also couldn’t stop eating it.

Next time you are at TMS keep an eye out for this stuff.   It should be easy to find because I anticipate many a parent taking over the bag once they taste it.   So just look for the crying-cuz-daddy-ate-my-cotton-candy-kids.

Is there a way to order the bacon cotton candy? I have a cousin just dying to have some.

tracey, I am not certain because I believe it’s geared as an “exclusive” to debut at Texas Motor Speedway. However, since the recipe is so obvious, I am quite certain others will start knocking that idea off— so unless you have someone willing to go to TMS and buy it – I would wait just a tad. I bet it’s at every carnival and fair by this summer.
