TASTE TEST : Doritos Dinamita Nacho Picoso

17 May

Mr. Dorito is cranking out new chip ideas faster than I can polish off a bag these days!

(on a side note…wow that photo looks blurry…sorry)

So, you have probably read about the other DINAMITA Doritos – the Chile Limon…and how much they rock HERE.

Well, these are like the lil’ brother. Following what I am guessing is the “Dinamita philosophy” these are rolled up chips.

As in the other article, I can’t tell you how much I love them being rolled up design. They are easier to handle, crunch harder, and you don’t end up with a bag of crumbles.

I thought at first glance these would be your basic NACHO CHEESE but in roll-up form.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are Nacho Cheese, but they have a slightly different taste.

At least to me.

These seem to have a slight jalapeno taste. As you keep noshin’ on these the flavor builds.

I get the distinct impression that there is a slightly cheesier flavor also inside the “tube”.

After a couple of handfuls, I really got the taste that I was eating an order of Nachos but without the mess.

As a fan of the original Doritos Nacho Cheese flavor for forever, I have to say that these edge the originals out.

I really enjoy the slight kick of jalapeno and the extra cheese flavor.

Of late, these are my go-to chips for chompin’ and watchin’ some great hockey or basketball games.

If you loved the Chile Limon, I bet you will like these – even though they are WAY more subtle and mild in terms of kick.

Addictive!

Nice review. Thanks for posting. I saw these the other day and the rolled chip design reminded me of the almighty Takis. http://wp.me/p2pbxs-1e
